The Difference Is in the Design

Two installers can quote the same unit for the same room. Only one of them worked out whether it’s the right size — and that single decision governs how quietly, cheaply and reliably the system runs for the next decade.

▲Oversized
An oversized unit reaches temperature in minutes, shuts off, then restarts moments later — cycling on and off all day. This short-cycling barely dehumidifies, swings the room temperature, drives the inverter compressor through needless start-up wear and pushes running costs up. Bigger is not safer.
▼Undersized
Too small, and the system runs flat-out on the hottest and coldest days and still can’t hold your target temperature. For a heat pump in winter that means falling back on plug-in heaters — the opposite of what you paid for, at the worst possible efficiency.
✓Right-sized
We assess each room’s heat gain and loss — glazing, orientation, insulation, ceiling height, occupancy and heat-producing equipment — and match the unit to that real load using manufacturer design data and hands-on experience, drawing on our suppliers’ technical design departments for complex and commercial systems. How long does an installation take? +

A typical single-room (single-split) system is installed in a day. Multi-room systems usually take one to two days depending on the number of indoor units and pipe runs. We confirm the timescale with your quote, and our engineers leave everything clean, tested and demonstrated.

Do heat pumps still work in winter? +

Yes — modern air-to-air heat pumps heat efficiently even in sub-zero temperatures, and many of our customers use them as their main heating through winter, with summer cooling as a bonus.
