Daikin Stylish — and the system that makes your hot water too

Most air conditioning is chosen in spite of how it looks. The Daikin Stylish is chosen because of it — nine factory finishes, a 189mm-deep curved profile, and running noise from 19dB(A). Pair it with Daikin Multi+ and the same outdoor unit heats your hot water cylinder as well.

Indoor unit finishes

Nine finishes. One unit.

The Stylish is the only unit in Daikin’s residential wall-mounted range with a full design programme behind it — four classic colours, plus five special-effect panels that mimic wood, fabric and leather. Performance is identical across all nine.

The panels are designed to resemble these textures — they are not made from real wood, fabric or leather, and on the special-effect models the front panel is fixed rather than detachable.

A note on choosing

Finish has no effect on output, efficiency or running cost, so choose on looks alone. If you’re unsure, we can bring samples to the survey — seeing blackwood or grey fabric against your actual wall settles it in about ten seconds.

Why people choose it

Quiet enough to forget it’s there

It is a design piece, but the engineering underneath is the reason we keep specifying it.

Sound level
19 dB(A)

Quieter than a library, and quieter than most fridges. On its lowest fan speed the Stylish effectively disappears — which is why it ends up in bedrooms, nurseries and home offices where noise would otherwise kill the idea.

Efficiency

Up to A+++ seasonal efficiency

Inverter-driven with R-32 refrigerant, so it modulates instead of switching on and off. In heating mode it returns several units of heat per unit of electricity — a heat pump, not an electric heater.

Profile

189mm deep — the slimmest in its class

Stylish vs. typical wall units

A curved front face and shallow body mean it projects far less into the room. It is the detail people notice first once it is on the wall.

Comfort

Airflow that avoids you

Coanda airflow throws air along the ceiling rather than at the sofa, and the intelligent eye sensor steers it away from where people actually are.

Air quality

Purification built in

Flash Streamer technology and a titanium apatite filter tackle airborne particles, odours and allergens as it runs — year round, not just in a heatwave.

Control

From the sofa or the car

Onecta appAmazon AlexaGoogle AssistantScheduling

Full remote control and scheduling as standard, so the bedroom is already warm by the time you walk in.

Daikin Multi+

One outdoor unit. Heating, cooling and your hot water.

This is the part most people don’t know exists. Daikin Multi+ connects a dedicated domestic hot water cylinder to the same outdoor unit that runs your indoor air conditioning — so a single box outside covers all three jobs.

Daikin Multi+ system layout: one outdoor unit connected by refrigerant pipework to a 120 or 230 litre hot water cylinder and up to four indoor units.
One outdoor unit, one set of pipe runs — feeding your hot water cylinder and up to four indoor units.

What it actually does day to day

Cooling + hot water

In summer the heat pulled out of your rooms is recovered and put into the cylinder. You are cooling the house and heating the water at the same time — effectively free hot water while the cooling runs.

Heating + hot water

Through winter the system splits its output between warming the rooms and topping up the tank, prioritising whichever is called for.

Hot water only

Shoulder seasons when nothing needs heating or cooling — the system simply runs as a hot water heat pump.

Air conditioning only

Cylinder satisfied, rooms still need attention. It behaves exactly like a standard multi-split.

1Outdoor unit for all three
Who this suits

Multi+ makes most sense in homes coming off an ageing gas boiler or an immersion-only setup, in flats and new-builds where there is no room for a boiler flue, and anywhere the outdoor space simply cannot take two separate units. It is not right for every property — cylinder space, existing pipework and your hot water demand all have to be checked first, which is exactly what our survey covers.

Why have ArcticNord fit it?

The unit is only half the job. Sizing, siting and commissioning decide whether you actually get the efficiency and the silence you paid for.

Engineer-calculated sizing

We run a proper heat-load calculation on the room rather than guessing from floor area. Oversized units short-cycle, run noisier and cost more to buy and to run.

F-Gas registered

Refrigerant handling is legally controlled work. Our engineers are F-Gas registered and the installation is documented properly, which also protects your manufacturer warranty.

Fixed price, no surprises

You get a written quotation covering units, materials, labour and making good — not a day rate and a shrug.

Local aftercare

We are based in Bilsthorpe and service what we install. Annual maintenance plans keep the system efficient and the warranty valid.

Common questions

How many finishes does the Stylish come in?+

Nine. Four classic colours — white, silver, blackwood and matt black — plus five special-effect panels in light wood, dark wood, grey fabric, blue fabric and dark leather. All nine are the same unit underneath with identical output and efficiency, so choose purely on looks.

Is 19dB(A) really that quiet?+

It is the lowest fan setting, and in practice it is quieter than the background noise of most homes at night. It is the main reason the Stylish ends up in bedrooms.

Can Multi+ replace my gas boiler entirely?+

For hot water and room heating in a suitably insulated property, often yes. It depends on your hot water demand, cylinder space and the heat load of the rooms — we confirm this at survey rather than promising it upfront.

How many rooms can one Multi+ outdoor unit serve?+

Up to four indoor units plus the hot water cylinder, all from a single outdoor unit.

What size cylinder do I get?+

120 litre or 230 litre, chosen against the number of bathrooms and occupants. We size it during the design stage.

Do you cover my area?+

We install across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, South and West Yorkshire. If you are near the edge of that, call and ask — we will tell you straight.
